Mary Jane & It's Effects on MS...

1) Its easy to judge on the outside looking in...but we can't ever really know the pain & the hardship that the people with MS are truly going through. 2) The government has as a hold on the weed sale which lines their pockets and they fear that it cut out their profits if it is legalized. 3) They call it a gateway drug but alcohol truly is in my opinion and if you take to much aspirin "It will be your last headache".
MS patients has several medications they have to take (with side effects that is worst then what it is curing) so why not let them have marijuana to ease their pain.  #RealTalk

Hip Hop Revived!!!

As of late, I have not really purchased an hip hop album but there has been some new releases that have come out that I can really get behind. Two artists in particular that has caught my interest is J Cole’s “Cole World: The Sideline Story” & Ace Hood’s “Blood Sweat & Tears” albums have been like a breathe of fresh to me. They particular way of spittin, delivery, & subject matter has really made me want to start listening to mainstream hip hop again. They refuse to following the music industries genre specific mold and are creating a new lane for how I see hip hop advancing in the near future. Both albums are must have’s & I believe that you would enjoy them as much I have.

Hot Ishhhhhhhh!!!

New Music: Wale f/ Miguel – “Lotus Flower Bomb”

Wale is back with a little something for the ‘Ambitious Girls’ of the world as he slows it down and spits some game on “Lotus Flower Bomb,” a smooth offering featuring Miguel.
As women on the move, sometimes we hate lines…especially if they have been used time and time again but somehow Wale gets away with pulling off a few one liners in ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’ without being too corny. He attempts to keeps it playful with pick up lines like, “You got that bomb. I’m tryna detonate you”, ‘Shorty, where your baton, racing through my mind’ and ‘can we take shots with your flavor’.
One thing is for sure, Wale is definitely warming the females up for the release of his sophomore LP Ambition due to drop November 1.
Will you be buying it?
Take a listen to ‘Lotus Flower Bomb’ below:

J Cole's Real Debut!!!

1. Lost Ones (Explicit Version) - J Cole

An amazingly abstract Hip Hop record...Proud of J. Cole for this one and his lack of fear to create a controversial song like this. The single "Nobody's Perfect" featuring Missy Elliot, was a much needed reminder of what music needs. I can respect an artist that pushes the boundaries of non realistic music.

Cole World:The Sideline Story is definitely a great album and it gets the Schi~Stamp of Approval.

Anticipation ~ Inspired by Marsha Ambroisus's song WIth You!!!

Your mystic leaves an impression on my safely guarded oasis.
The mystery of your embrace has left me withdrawn as this distance leaves me yearning for your presence.
At your arrival I become a victim, the sigh from my mouth is the evidence of the ecstasy that rushes through me & leaves me breathless.
He is my blessing, euphorically teaching me lessons, that has me calling out for God...I need this confession.
Speculations tells us that you can't get all the you want in one man. (But THEY don't know you)
You exceed in all facets, instead of the typical screams that can be faked.
You cause me to whisper while unable to speak the words that deserves to be spoken.
Provoking that one tear to fall, grateful to exceed your expectation.
While causing you to speak in a language that hasn't been discovered.
I have experienced the truth, the embodiment, the awakening...
And all this is what I see, feel, & taste...when I'M WITH YOU.

Jamie Foxx ~ Album Review

Garbage once again hits the airwaves.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Jamie Foxx...I believe he has phenomenal vocal ability and I bought (3) copies of his debut album. I actually played one of the CD's so much that I had to replace it and I bought one as a gift so I have no problem purchasing and supporting talent. Yet, when a project isn't up to par, I have to be honest and put it out there so that he doesn't create another album like his latest album "Best night of My Life".

I love Jamie Foxx's crooner ability when he delivers R&B/ mid tempo records...there his specialty. I know that the music industry constantly evolves but this album was a combination of  Techno & Pop with a twist of R&B. It feels like he pulled out a trick from R. Kelly's book by sounding like all the newest artists instead of staying true to who he is. I can appreciate the versatility but in my opinion it compromised his music. Out of 13 tracks not including interlude, I happened to like " the self titled track Best Night of My Life, Living Better Now, Sleeping Pill, and my personal favorites are 15 Minutes & Fall for Your Type".

The rest of the songs on the album were a major disappointment. When an artist like Jamie Foxx has so much talent, please forgive me but I expect them to showcase it better. He has had a long career within the music, television and movie industry. He is suppose to show the newer generation how it's done and not follow suit to what they are doing.

Unfortunately, I have to rate Jamie Foxx's  "Best Night of My Life" a 2.5 stars out of 5 as well as Revoke his Schi~Stamp of Approval...Im sure he can earn it back again as long as he doesn't put out another album like this one.

Some people may think that I'm being harsh with my criticism but I am strong enough to take it and learn from it. Artists in any creative industry should be able to with stand constructive criticism. so let me know what you think...

Deuces,
The Schi 1

P.S. If you want to know what music I like from Jamie Foxx, check out what I have below and please leave a comment.

Marsha Ambrosius - Far Away

I adore music that makes you think, that is inspired by true life and the events that takes place within it. Amazing artists like Marsha Ambrosius, rarely receive the credit that they so rightfully deserve because the music industry prides itself on creating illusions & the fallacy to create music that is meaningless and superficial.

Marsha, I am inspired by your vision, your struggle, and your perseverance. In hopes that one day, I too can inspire people through music and you have become my favorite singer/songwriter in the game and I am proud to say that you have the same light around you that I also recognized in the Ms. Aaliyah Haughton. Although she will never be replaced in my heart, I would be a liar if I said that you didn't have that same essence around you. I am grateful to have seen you perform live and you leave your heart on stage and allow all of your fans to share it equally.

There are not enough truly talented artists out there especially not ones that can hold my attention. So Marsha Ambrosius, you definitely get the Schi~Stamp of Approval. I can't wait for the release of your solo album because your mix-tapes are absolutely amazing. Here's to you.

Far Away is one the best songs to bless 2011, but for those of you who love Marsha Ambrosius as much as I do, here are some other classic tracks and features from the one and the only Marsha Ambrosius...Enjoy and please let me know what you think.

1) Take Care (My number 1 most played track on my Xperia X10 phone)

2) Butterflies (Most didn't know that she wrote this song, RIP Michael Jackson)

3) Four Women - Marsha Ambrosius, Kelly Price, Jill Scott, & Ledisi (Along with Marsha, Jill Scott & Ledisi are two of my other favorite neo-soul singers)

Jamie Foxx - Fall For Your Type ft. Drake

I am so glad that Jamie Foxx is going back into the direction of his first
album "Unpredictable", when his music was less robotic and
sound like he went overboard with the AutoTune. This new single is
amazing to me and I am anticipating hearing the latest album "Best
Night of My Life". As for the last album, "Intuition" I
was very disappointed because it felt like he was following what was hot in 2008
and now he is back to the true essence...the orignal artist has
re-emerged and I welcome him back with open arms.

Jamie Foxx's latest single "Fall for Your Type"
definately gets the Schi~Stamp of Approval...Keep it coming J.

David Banner & 9th Wonder - Be With You Ft. Ludacris & Marsha Ambrosius

Very nice comeback track for David Banner- Cant go wrong with Luda and Marsha Ambrosius. This definately get the Schi~Stamp of Approval...

Is the Biebster going overboard!!!

Wow... Justin Bieber has just released footage of himself in the booth rapping over a hot track. Is he trying to re-cross over from the Pop charts the Hip Hop charts. Did he do this track justice or should his record be dismissed for lack of credibility.

I'll let you decide whether JB should get the Schi~ Stamp of Approval or Get his Schi~Card Revoked.

Zawcain ~ Teachin Intelligence

The NEXT one to watch out for...he has a amazing flow and has the intelligence that will give conscious rappers a run for their money...I love it. For all the fans of the true essence of Hip Hop, that loves Lupe Fiasco, Talib Kweli, Common and J. Cole. Well here is a special treat for you. If you are a fan of the BET Hip Hop Award show then you bared witness to the lyrical mastermind during a cipher on the show. Zawcain definitely gets the Schi~Stamp of Approval. Let me know what you think about him.

She has amazing natural talent and this is a hot club track especially knowing that its from a 9 year old phenom...She will do amazing things in her life especially if she continues to work on her craft. She definitely deserves a Schi~Stamp of Approval.

Giving Credit When It's Due!!!!

As much as I have been trying to fight this new record by Chris Brown "Deuces", it is the first single that he has put out that I actually liked, since the traumatic incident with Rihanna. I will admit that the two singles ( Crawl  & Transform Ya ) didn't appeal to me at all but it seems that as that incident goes behind him, his sense of music has come back. "Deuces" is a decent song that shows the raw emotion that he doesn't usually portray in real life yet it has a nice instrumental and flow to it that makes me want to listen to him again.

I did purchase his first 2 albums & I appreciated them but now I hope that his next endeavor will be of the  same or better quality then his previous two albums. At this point, I will give Chris Brown and his latest single The Schi~Stamp of Approval but if his next album isn't up to par then it will quickly get revoked. I take music seriously and I hope from this point further he will take it more seriously too.

He's Beamin!!!

I have to pay homage to an amazing Hip Hop artist (MC) Lupe Fiasco for his latest mix-tape single "Im Beamin". That he is, with his Chi-City swagger and his eloquently clever lyrics that can inform and then inspire change within the hoods of any city especially Chicago. This record is so impressive that I had to give it The Schi~Stamp of Approval because artists like Lupe Fiasco deserve to be acknowledged.

OMG PLEEEEEEEASE!!!

I love Usher as much as the next person yet I cant help but be disappointed by his latest Pop song "OMG". I can say that I respect the whole Will-I-Am movement to a certain extent but this record doesn't sound at all like an Usher record. I am all for collaborations but I draw the line when these collabo's cause the artist to lose the sound that the are known for.

I would have respected this record a little more if Usher would have united his style with Will-I-Am's sound and then created a song that didn't over shadow the prominent Usher Raymond's Atlanta-made style.

Usher's "OMG" song is mediocre, the video is not that impressive, and the lyrical content doesn't move me very much either. There hasn't been to many times that Usher has disappointed me but if he wants to catch up to Trey Songz and Drake, he is going to come back a lot harder then this. Re-inventing and revamping your artst style is sometimes needed but that doesn't mean that you should lose the essence of who you are. Usher, I hope this was just a temporary setback and I hope that you will switch your focus to your other single "There Goes My Baby" which is a much hotter track.

I know that everyone will not agree with my view on the song but I made a vow to keep Trill and that what I am going to do...Let me know what you think.

Deuces,

Garbage hits the Airwaves (Part 1)

Now I have to admit that I love urban music, especially R&B, Neo Soul, Hip Hop, & etc. Yet the one thing that I can not stand is this un-original, corny, perpetrating, sell out version of Rap Music today. What happen to the presence that Hip Hop had and where the hell did it go? Has materialistic possessions that have absolutely no value once they buy it, all that it's about any more? Misogenistic view points that poison the mind of all listeners whether they realize it or not, has completely taken over.

Rap Artists today (notice how I said Rapper's...lol) lack the creativity & originality to truly profits within the music industry. Most of them refuse to speak the truth and are completely content with a fake and phony outlook on the world and its issues. While they lack the imagination to create something new. I am fed up with this weak willed & misguided form of music, so now is the time to stop kissing these particular Artist's ass.

If the media and music industry is to scared to put these lame artists straight then I will have set them straight. This will be the first edition, Garbage hits the Airwaves which is the Top 10 list of weakest songsin the Rap Game.

~ 10) Jay Z- Empire State of Mind ( I will admit I love the beat and most of the song but the verse were he says "Jesus cant save you, life starts when church ends" which completely turn me off about this song.)

~ 9) New Boyz- Tie Me Down ( These young guys have done the inevitable like Soulja boy and I commend them but the message that their sending to the younger generation doesn't impress me.)

~ 8) Omarion feat. Gucci Mane - I Get It In ( I have been known to like Omarion in the past, I like seeing him perform but what the hell was he thinking with this one. This record almost seemed desperate because he changed his sound and got one of the most popular RAPPER's in the game right now which further shows his desperation.)

~ 7)Snoop Dogg - Gangsta Luv ( I like Snoop & I like his song I Wanna Rock but this particular records is completely weak. He's been out of the game a while and should have come out with I Wanna Rock first and chose a better single thereafter.)

~ 6)Juelz Santana - Back to the Crib (I'm glad that he had was willing to Put Chris Brown on the record but the song is just not hot its missing something. Haven't figured what that is yet)

~ 5)Dj Khaled- Fed Up (Khalid a hot producer but this song just doesnt have the punch that it usually has...I gotta keep it real.)

~ 4)Nicki Minaj- Bedrock (Im trying to give her a chance because there aren't enough females in the game but as a new artist the best you can do is "Let me put my p***y on your side burn" Come hard or go home")

~ 3)Fabolous - (Other Than Everything, Everyday, Everywhere, he has nothing exciting to say & Keri Hilson saved him on this record.)

~ 2)Soulja Boy - (Everything he puts out is weak to me)

~ 1)Gucci Mane - Wasted (Really...this song has no substance and is so un-original)

For those who read this blog may not  agree with my opinion but these Artist are missing some vital points that helps me to decide whether they are Hip Hop Artist or Just Typical Rappers. Let me know what you think....
